Good Morning Kindhearted Kiwis!

Please take out your independent reading books - I would like you
to have a few minutes of independent time before you start working on your project presentations.

7th Grade
  • I am going to give you your planning papers back. You have today to build your presentations for the Utopia showdown - I will explain what this will look like. Things to consider for your presentation:
    • Include the name of your utopia, where it is located and why, and anything else you think is important to making your society more utopia - for example do you have some values or principles that guides the decision within your utopia?
    • Next in your charter - you want to outline the problem that you are eradicating - this included the information/ research that you have completed as well as your law that you are using to eradicate the problem. I am also looking for justification on how this makes your society more utopian.
    • Are there any other laws or rules that you want to include in your charter to make your society more utopian?
    • Is there anything else you want to include in your presentation? Map of your utopia, other information about your people, etc?
8th Grade
  • Final presentation practice - you will be presenting TOMORROW! Whatever you have not completed is going to be homework.

Humanities Extension:
  • Please take time to work on your utopia presentation!
