In our exploration of WWII, we learned that President Roosevelt talked about the importance of the US involvement in the war efforts to help secure the four freedoms that were needed to make a more peaceful world. At the end of the war as a way to bring peace and freedom to the world, the United Nations were formed and created the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. What do you think Universal Human Rights means? In thinking about what you know make a loose brainstorm of the things that happened during WWII that lead to the need for establishing Universal Human Rights?
